Radia Program
The Radia program favours the insertion of women with a university degree and some kind of disability in digital work environments through training and internships in leading companies.
The ONCE Foundation for Cooperation and Social Inclusion of People with Disabilities, the CEOE Foundation, and the Conference of Social Councils of Spanish Universities (CCS) and Fundación ONCE joined to create the RADIA WOMEN’S DIGITAL INCLUSION Program. It takes its name from Radia Perlman, the creator of one of the most widely used digital communication protocols in the world.
Radia’s main goal is to promote the insertion of women with a university degree and some sort of disability into digital work environments and to offer them professional development opportunities in technological fields, where they are underrepresented. In parallel, the program helps to improve employability in a labour market that demands professionals with digital skills and diverse professional teams.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about profiles of professional women in the technological field and see them in their everyday roles guided by mentors.
Lastly, the program concludes with accelerated training and the offer of internships in leading companies in technological sectors.
To date, 139 female students have been trained in the Radia program, which is now in its 3rd edition. The ONCE Foundation, the CEOE Foundation and the Conference of Social Councils of Spanish Universities (CCS) have committed to holding two more editions.
For the CEOE Foundation, this is a cutting-edge project in which everything we do is channeled. It is a talent and life project to which the CEOE Foundation is very proud to belong.
