The Ministry of Inclusion awards 27 Inclusion and Migration Distinctions to individuals and legal entities for their involvement in welcoming Ukrainian refugees
The Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration has awarded 27 Distinctions of Inclusion and Migration to as many individuals and legal entities in recognition of their involvement in welcoming Ukrainian refugees. The Minister, José Luis Escrivá, highlighted "the enormous commitment shown by all of them and their tireless work, without which it would have been much more complicated to accommodate these thousands of people".
Escrivá underlined how “the outbreak of the war in Ukraine awakened an enormous wave of solidarity with the participation of many institutions and citizens, who have contributed to making their arrival very agile and their stay in our shelters as easy as possible for families coming from a very complicated situation”.
As of June 23, a total of 179,758 people displaced by the war in Ukraine had received temporary protection, which allows them to have a residence and work permit in Spain. Of these, almost 18,000 are registered with the Social Security.
